Video Demos

1. I have recorded a movie/song to my iPod. It appears as iRecord_xx/xx/xx xx:xx in the iPod play list. How can I rename or delete this movie/song?
You can attach your iPod to your PC/Mac and look under DEVICES (not the local library) in iTunes to browse your iPod contents. From there you can delete/rename the recorded files. There are a number of ways, including the following: 1. To delete a file, simply select the file and press "Delete" key. 2. To rename a file right-click on it in the list and select Get Info in the popup menu. A dialog will pop-up, from here you can change the file name in the info tab.

2. I record video or audio on my iPod and files are created in Videos->Movies and Music->Songs play lists but these are not visible in iTunes local library? Also, if I sync the files are deleted from iPod.
iTunes works in one direction, i.e. iTunes-> iPod and not the other way round. Hence, you will not see these in iTunes local library. Same reasoning goes for iTunes deleting the irecorded files on forced syncing since there is no history of them in iTunes. When using iRecord the manual mode of iTunes is enabled by iRecord to prevent automatic syncing. Of course you can still move your other contents from iTunes to iPod in manual mode.

3. When I stop recording to an iPod, the status LED starts blinking red rapidly, instead of going green. The recorded file does not appear in my iPod's play list. What is going wrong?
A mismatch between iRecord firmware and iTunes on your PC or Mac is detected. Please check iRecord website to get latest information on iRecord compatible versions of iTunes. Firmware upgrades are also provided to ensure, that iRecord works with newer version of iTunes. Please check iRecord website to download the latest firmware upgrades.

4. I record video on my iPod. File is created in Videos->Movies play list. But when I play it, I hear only audio and there is no video.
Please make sure that in iPod video settings, you have set TV output to OFF.

5. I have connected my PSP® to iRecord , but iRecord is not recognizing it. The status LED does not turn green?
   1) Make sure that there is a Memory Stick™ inserted into PSP®.
   2) From Settings menu of PSP® select "USB connection" option before attaching PSP® to
       iRecord.

6. What if iRecord does not detect iPod or other mass storage media?
You may try the following:
   1) Remove and Re-Insert storage media.
   2) Power down iRecord, wait for 10 seconds and then Power up again.
   3) Reset iPod.

7. iRecord™ records audio-only MP3 files.
Make sure that video cable is properly plugged into the video source as well as iRecord. Also make sure that video source (e.g. DVD player) is turned on and is playing.

8. I can not turn off iRecord while recording is in progress.
This is a safety feature. Power key is disabled during recording process to avoid accidental key press. You will have to stop the recording before powering off the system.

9. My iRecord switches off automatically.
This is a power saving feature in iRecord. When there is no activity on iRecord for 10 minutes, it automatically switches its power off.

10. iRecord automatically stops recording after a few seconds.
Make sure that your recording media (iPod® or USB flash drive) has enough storage space (minimum 10 MB).

11. I have just bought a USB flash drive but it does not get recognized by iRecord?
Please format the new flash drive using a PC/Mac (FAT16/32 or HFS+ file system). Some factory formatted USB flash drives do not behave properly with iRecord and a re-formatting is recommended. If your storage media is still not recognized, it might not be a standard USB 2.0 mass storage device.

12. After recording process is finished, my USB flash drive contains 0-byte files.
This happens when iRecord is powered off during the recording (due to power failure or pulling out the power cord). Recording process should be stopped manually by pressing RECORD Start/Stop button. It is safe to power off once the system enters ready state (indicated by status LED illuminated green).

13. iRecord status LED does not illuminate when power is switched on.
Switch off power and turn on again. The status LED will illuminate ORANGE.

14. The iRecord looks functional but it doesn’t record anything?
Make sure that there is enough free space available in your USB storage device. The status LED will change from ORANGE to GREEN immediately if there is no space on the storage device.

15. I am recording a movie (Audio/Video stream) but I always end up with MP3 audio file?
Check that the S-Video or RCA video cable is properly plugged in. Also make sure that the video source is on and playing.
